When buying a cheap MP3 player a 1GB model is a very good choice as they are often just as cheap as the smaller MP3 players but offer much more space for your music.
A 1GB MP3 player has enough space for around 250 songs which is a good amount. It is not enough for the real music enthusiasts but for most people 250 songs is enough for general listening. And most 1GB MP3 players do not display video or digital photos so they memory is not taken up by those; the memory is purely for the music.
There are many 1GB MP3 players that you can buy online with some very cheap deals being available. The 1GB MP3 players are usually the basic and small MP3 players that have a very small screen if any and a very basic operation. There are more expensive 1GB MP3 players though that have colour screens and more advanced options and the iPod Shuffle is a great 1GB MP3 player but does not have a screen so is rather expensive but you pay for the quality.
