The standard iPod is the best iPod that you can buy and has a huge storage capacity. It comes in 30GB, 60GB and 80GB capacities which are very large and 80GB is going to be very hard to fill!
The Apple iPod is often known as the iPod Colour or iPod Video and this is just due to new features that have been added over time but the proper name is just the iPod. It does have a colour screen though and can play video so those names remain valid.
The iPod has a 14 hour battery and can last around 6 hours while playing video. The new iPod also has a search feature so that you can easily find your songs when you have so many that browsing them is not an option.
The iPod is controlled by the famous Clickwheel and there are no other controls so this Clickwheel takes care of the track selection, volume, options and everything else.
The iPod is not cheap though and is more expensive than the other iPods such as the Shuffle or Nano.
